Week 6: The New Testament

The goal for this week is to explain the different sections of the New Testament. It’s important to place the Bible in context of its layout, content, and how we use it in our daily life – both in our worship and in our own personal, daily reading.

Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John
Book of History: Acts of the Apostles
Epistles of Saint Paul: Romans, 1 & 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 & 2 Thessalonians, 1 & 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, and Hebrews
Universal Epistles: James, 1 & 2 Peter, 1 – 3 John, and Jude
Book of Prophecy: Revelation

Week 6:

In addition to the outline, you will also need the following for this lesson:

One piece of 12×12 paper for each one of your students
Scissors
Pencils, pens, or markers

I had my students make an accordion book (minus the canvas covers) to write down the answers to our review Q&A. Each student wrote the answers to the following questions on one page of their accordion book. (Watch the video above and see examples of the accordion book we made for class below)
