Executive function skills enable us to plan, prioritize, and complete tasks. A huge part of our daily life is learning life skills. In this video, I teach one of my sons how to tackle our large family pile of dishes.
I put together a unit study on St. Euphrosynos and part of our learning experience was spending the day praying while doing our chores, just like St. Euphrosynos. This video is an example of how to incorporate multiple senses in a lesson.
I had put together a unit study on Holy Week and Pascha. This video demonstrates an example of how to weave using the senses (auditory and vision, in this case) as well as teaching executive function skills (memorizing and singing a troparion) into their schoolwork.
